Answer:

We looked at various strategies to increase involvement for relatively boring of routine purchases.

Yes, it is a good idea for marketers to try to get us “excited” about everything we buy.

They should not just accept that many of the things we buy are purely functional for us.

Explain of response as below:

  • There are two basic reasons for our purchase of product in the market.
    • One is the functional need for consumer and searching the suitable product to purchase
    • Second is existing awareness of products, based on which consumer plan for purchase so that he can complete his desired needs.

  • Product routine purchase based on awareness: So consumers have many needs for them but they did not have the awareness on all the types of products available in the market and what type of works they can complete with the help of them. Thus based on the awareness of consumers, they search the suitable products for their routine use.
  • Increase Market Awareness can change the need of products in the market: This is right point and based on improved market awareness, consumers will try to explore new products, if they got the advance awareness of new products. Thus market awareness ca change the demand for products in the market based on awareness improvements.
  • Marketer to explore marketing for change in customer behavior : Thus the marketer can change the consumer interest and change the demand of products by increasing the market awareness in the market.
  • Thus the marketers needs to make the buyers excited about the routine purchase and should continue to explore marketing for increase in awareness of products so that they explore new products for their routine needs based on their improved awareness for the new products.

Give an example of a routine product we have purchased based on marketing:

  • Purchase of LED light Bulbs/Tube lights based on improved awareness on low electricity consumption.
  • Purchase of low electricity consumption devise such as LG Freeze for saving electric bills.
  • Purchase of online products due to awareness of easy availability and easy shipments.
  • Purchase of environmental friendly bag instead of plastic bag based on improved awareness in the market.
