We have seen increase in prices of various goods for example Sugar during this period of COVID-19 pandemic. Suggest the possible measures that should be taken as far as International Trade is concerned
Trade is essential to save both lives and livelihoods.some of the measures that should be taken post COVID are
*should boost confidence in trade and global markets
trade and exports should be encouraged post-COVID.this should be done in high precaution and should be increased gradually
*global supply chains should be moving
there are some essential goods and services that are demanding by some developing countries like medicines, kits, laborers. the post-COVID scenario has to be emphasized on making the global supply chain moving
*Avoid making worst decisions
as we all know COVID has resulted in a huge loss in every market, but can't use this as an opportunity to gain the momentum.due to the safety measures, some countries even now decided to enforce strong export barriers to essential food items, medical equipment.
these are the needy goods that are in need of people .so decisions like these should be taken carefully
*policies that have a longer vision
as the COVID is having some serious impacts, it is necessary to undertake decisions that have longer visions.governments has to built new import and export policies.they should give financial help to local sectors for the production of essentials.thereby becoming self sufficiency in the upcoming future
