A cart changes its speed from rest to 100 m/s in 1 s. During this interval its acceleration is

Solutions

Expert Solution

Solution :-

                 Given :-

                             Speed – 100 m/s

                             Time – 1 s

          Then calculate acceleration ,

Therefore the formula for acceleration is given by

                     Acceleration =   Velocity / time

And unit of the acceleration is m/s2

But , in this problem the given value is speed and time so in conceptually the formula for acceleration is

                       acceleration = Speed / time

unit of speed is – meter/second (m/s) & unit of time is second (s)

Now calculate acceleration by using formula and given value ,

                         A = s / t

                         t = time

                      S = speed

                  A = acceleration

                   A = (100)m/s / 1 s

                             A = 100 m/s2

                The acceleration is 100 m/s2
