how to find surface temperature of the flat plate which is subjected to air flow from one side and constant temperature on the other side using Ansys fluent ?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Your analysis should be 'transient, Full' analysis. For air flow you can use forced convection over the surface by defining the convection film co-efficient. And other side you can apply heat flux. You should apply time-time step for transient analysis. Always remember heat flux and convection should not put in same surface at same time. You have put all the thermal properties: thermal conductivity, specific heat and density as material properties. Your results will be good if you can use temperature dependent material properties.

If you want air flow analysis then you have to do CFD analysis. For that solid liquid interaction model you have to do. You will get help from Ansys-Fluent tutorial for this also.
