EFFECT OF HOSPITAL MERGERS ON PRICE OF CARE IN UNITED STATES

The integration in the field of medical care, like the hospital mergers have a great impact on the price of health care facilities provided in the nation. The hospital mergers have a positive impact on the functioning cost of the hospitals. But on the other hand there exists a condition that there is no reduction in the cost of health care facilities provided in the nation. Which means that the reduction in the operating cost of hospitals will not directly impact on the reduction of price of health aids available.

There we can clear see in the reduction of operating costs of these hospital mergers and the cost almost reduced to a fifteen to thirty percentage. But on the contrast there clearly we see in the increase of medical expense at almost six to eighteen percentage. There the primary importance is given to the quantity of care rather than the price of the care.
