A good Christian business leader exhibits the qualities of patience, perseverance and positivity. Christian leadership in workplace is now a growing trend. Leaders try to be effective at the same time they hold tightly to the values and beliefs of Christianity. In today’s globalization, diverse workforce plays a critical role. To this effect, there is Christian leadership in the diverse workplace. An organization must assess the resources and the strengths and weaknesses of having Christian leadership. This assessment plays a very crucial role in deciding on the Christian leadership because the diverse workforce which has employees from varied backgrounds might or might not accept their leadership as a Christian leadership. In order to combat this challenge in managing a diverse workforce with Christian business leaders, it is pertinent for organizations to analyze the strengths/weaknesses in having a Christian business leader. This is because the strengths indicate the positive outcome that results from a Christian leadership and the weaknesses indicate negative outcome from the team members because of Christian leadership. The positive outcome or the strengths lead to increased productivity in the organization. The negative outcomes are the weaknesses resulting from a Christian business leader. This results in poor employee morale.

Some of the strengths in having a proper foundation for a Christian business leader are:

  • Christian business leaders lead by example. They live and inspire the followers to follow the Christian leader by example. This results in the team members following the ethical values.
  • Possibility and positivity- The Christian business leaders demonstrate that ‘All things are possible through Christ’ (bible verse) and exhibit positivity always. The faith in the Christian leaders motivates employees to follow them and results in employees being optimistic in whatever they do.

Some of the weaknesses in having a proper foundation for a Christian business leader are:

  • Difference in the values and beliefs. The diverse workforce would have employees from different backgrounds who might not prefer a Christian business leader. This results in arising of conflicts.
  • A Christian business leader might be naïve which is not a good quality characteristic for the leader.

Thus, assessing of the strengths and weakness in having a Christian business leader and assessing their resources play a critical role in the success of an organization.
