Is religion, class, or race more important in shaping this violence than masculinity? Why do you think so?
In my opinion, recent times, more people have died because of
these conflicts than the abundance of masculinity. In olden days,
probably masculinity caused violence and death. Take ‘Helen of
Troy’ for example, one man’s (Paris) masculinity caused a ten year
old war which killed thousands of people.
All the human beings are built up with both masculine and feminine
genes. It’s the majority that differentiates us man and woman. So
everyone has got masculinity in them and everyone has also got
feminine nature in them. When we look at the history of the world,
violence was unleashed in the name of religion, race and class. .
It’s the emotion which is attached to the religion, race and class
that triggers masculinity and not by masculinity alone. In fact,
men are more like children these days inside their homes and women
rule the homes.
Violence caused by religion, class and race cannot be taken under
masculinity but they can be placed under aggression, selfishness
and animal instinct.
