Think about a project that you are currently working on or have worked on. List all of the resources used in this project.
Lets assume I am working on a project Tittled Drowsey Driver Detection system,
List all of the resources used in this project.

Discuss why resources need to be considered when developing a schedule.
Resourses are very important factor to be considered before developing a schedule, the availalibiy or non availability of the resourses can make your schedule perfect or make your schedule a total failure.
Describe how resources can be considered when creating a network diagram.
A network diagram is a graphical representation of all the tasks, responsibilites and a workflow for a project. when creating network diagram with limited resources in mind, we would not schedule activities that use same resources parallel to each other. The activities should be looked at a dependent relationship with each other.
What are technical constraints? Give some examples.
The technical constraints, which are best illustrated by network diagrams are drawing of activities in a continuing relationship, one must come before another. For example, Impossibility to type an essay on computer before turning a computer on.
What are resource constraints? Give some examples.
Resource constrains are when there is no technical constraint to do multiple activities at once, but there are not another resources to do it at the same time. For example, there is everything but the is missing.
Describe what is meant by resource leveling or smoothing. Why is it used? When is it used?
Resource smooting is used when the time constraint takes priority. The objective is to complete the work by the required date while avoiding peaks and troughs of resource demand. Resource levelling is used when limits on the availability of resources are paramount. For example, if a project requires 2 laborers for 10 days, followed by zero laborers for 10 days, perhaps the project cost can be reduced by lengthening the schedule slightly to allow for 1 laborer for 20 days.
Does resource leveling keep a project on schedule? If so, how?
it keeps the project on schedule because take the same example as above. if the schedule is of 5 days we can add 2 more labourers and complete the work in 5 days,
Describe what is meant by resource-limited scheduling. Why is it used? When is it used?
The resource-limited schedule is a project schedule whose schedule activities start dates, and finish dates directly reflect the availability of all resources in question.
Does resource-limited scheduling keep a project on schedule? If so, how?
Resource-limited scheduling does not necessarily keep a project on schedule.
It may extend the schedule in order to keep within the resource limits
Discuss the stages of team development. Address the process, problems, and level of productivity of each. What are some characteristics associated with effective project teams? Can the same be said for an effective couple, orchestra, or professional sports team? Why or why not?
The stages of team development are as follows:
- Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Adjouring
The characteristics associalted with effective project team
- a clear understanding of the project objective
- clear expectations of each persons role and responsibilities
- a results orientation
- a high degree of cooperation and collaboration
Yes, based on the defination of Projects Team, the same can be said for an effective couple, orchestra, or professional sports team.
What are some common barriers to team effectiveness? Think of a team project on which you have worked. Discuss any barriers to success.
The following barriers that can hinder project team effectiveness
- Unclear goals
- unclear defination of roles and responsibilities
- lack of project structure
- lack of commitment
- poor communication
- poor leadership
- turnover of project team members
- dysfunctional behaviour
I had worked on a project with my 4 teammates, after the project was finalized and resources were available to of the team members left the group.
Why is it said that there is no I in TEAM? Do you agree or disagree? How can you be an effective team member?
yes i agree, because you cannot do the project alone in a proper schedule. it has to be the team effort to make the project a success.
Describe three activities that facilitate the process of team building. Must the project manager initiate all of these?
- Socialization among team members supports team building
- Discussions should not be always work related.
- An after work pizza party, etc.
Discuss some types of conflict that might arise during a project.
- Work Scope : Not all may agree to the schedule of how the work should be done
- Resource Assignments : not all may happy over tasks assigned to individuals
- Cost : Conflict often arises over how much the work should cost
Describe two situations in which you have experienced these types of conflict.
I have expreienced this types of conflicts during my final year project. there was a big conflict over deciding the tasks allotment for individuals.
