DISADVANTAGES

1) Due to thermal distortion defects like shrinking and warping in fabricated part can develop.

2) Surface is comparatively rougher than those of machined surface.

3) The devive and machine parts used are quite expensive.

4) powder may be hardened at the border line due to additional powder.

5) The strength is weaker in Z direction need spcecial care to handle the product.
