Abortion law permits prohibit, restricts, or otherwise regulates the availability of abortion. The laws of abortion are different in various parts of the globe based on the culture and social background that the person is in. In general, after 20 weeks of pregnancy, a qualified health practitioner may only provide abortion services to a woman or pregnant person if the health practitioner believes the abortion is clinically appropriate in the circumstances. Nevertheless, the consent of the partners in a marriage is needed or if the person is singles the need for the consent if an adult is to be taken to do the procedure.
From a global perspective, we find abortion is been on since ancient times in various written sources all across the globe like China to Chili. As a matter of the common law, the movement of the fetus makes abortion illegal if not perceived otherwise to be a threat to the mother’s life due to pregnancy. The religious texts often make this a taboo to perform abortions in various parts of the globe and the permission of the couple is needed to abort a child legally. Nevertheless, the problems have been sported a lot these days with contraceptives and condoms for adults to keep away unwanted pregnancy. However, the debate of the abortion like practice has always been in question when the ethical aspects of abortions are concerned.
