b. What qualifies a problem-solving strategy to be termed as ‘insight’?
c. Find one experimental research paper that has investigated this phenomenon. Provide a citation for this paper and briefly summarize the research question, methodology and conclusions of the study.
a. An insight is when a solution for a presented problem is found adroitly, it is based on a series of trials and errors that an individual makes a sudden connection to the given problem which presents itself as an insight. The same can be said about th identification of a problem as well, then it is termed as a negative insight.
b. A problem solving strategy can be termed as an 'insight' if the person happens to stumble across it without a certain active thought or participation in actively pondering upon the given conundrum, which is the third stage. The first stage is the identification of the problem and the beginning to solve it, second is the trial and error; as opposed to non insight problem solving which involves active efforts.
c. The paper, "Uh oh What have we missed - a qualitative investigation into insight " by Hill, g and Kemp, S capitalizes on the following:
Research question: the importance of dwelling upon the qualitative component of the insight problem solving
Methodology: descriptive and qualitative paper.
Conclusions: The conclusion of the aper was hinting at a more multifaceted approach to be involved while studying something like the concept of psychology, that is, this concept does not merely adhere to the rule of cognitive psychology but also incorporates the counseling psychology (personal factors) and occupational psychology (social factors) components
