Expert Solution
Being an amateur photographer I might not have enough skills to
photograph a wedding but before going in for the project I could
take some technical help since I already know how to operate a
camera.
I could create a list about the shots that I could take of the
couple and the family. Another part of wedding photography is the
location and being a natIure photographer I do have certain skills
that can help me to capture the wedding location. I can visit the
locations before the D-day and prepare myself regarding developing
ideas of few positions of shots and to know how the light would
work.
But instead of taking it professionally it would be a learning
experience and might lead to non-professional photographs.A
professional photographer has invested thousands in quality
equipment and education. She’s only as good as her last wedding,
and her reputation is on the line with every couple and she would
not put her reputation on line in contrast to an amateur one like
me.
Professionals have experience in how to use poses, angles and
lighting to enhance their bride’s best features and hide the
imperfections. And being an amateur one I would be still trying to
figure out positions and light.
Eventhough its my friend who wants me to photograph their
wedding but since their money is involved and its the most
important day o their life it would be advisable to hire a
professional wedding photographer. Its better to have a well
prepared photographer rather than an amateur one.
But yes,I could take their photographs for fun or just to
refine my skills.
