c. How do these three components: emotions, responsibility and excuses, play in your approach to this class, its materials, the manner you express yourself in your writings, and life in general?
1a) Heidegger was born in Germany. He studied subjects like theology and philosophy. His beliefs of death include the views of Dasein where he analyzes the importance of self belief and realization with the change from unauthenticated self to authenticated self. The time period of life is broken down in various parts as a person does not understand the importance the phenomenon and reason of his death in life. Death is considered as a suffering or a loss which can be replaced bu another person. A person is finite and his death is evitable. It will bring out the own self in the person. It depends upon the care of the person before the death. The other idea is the anticipation of death and its real analysis with possibility.
b)Sartre analyzed the views of death as an end to all possibilities is life. He said such possibility of living under such circumstances is not possible. The view of death cannot be felt as it is the death of all emotions in the heart. It is the death of existence without any genuine reason or cause of living in the society. He emphasized on the nonbeliever or neagtive feelings related to death with no positive effects, possibilities or consequences of living. He said it is the negative perception and the thinking of the person which leads to death which is evident in every mortal person.
c)Heidegger identifies the role of self consciousness and resolute behavior in analyzing the beliefs of the person in the society. He reinterprets the situation and analyzes as it should be feeling of guilt or it needs further assurance to live life with better understanding. The person has a realization of authentic self and non-self in the society. Guilt shoudl not be understood as a feeling when one breaches some rule or moral code of conduct but the reasons for breaking the rules of conduct should be decided and analyzed. He identified three forms of care and emotions like projection, leaving, and discourse. Heidegger views that the normal way of living in the world infact justifies the feeling of self and discourse in the society. The authentic and genuine behavior includes the development of characters like guilt, reticence and anxiety in the society. He further identifies the freedom of self in getting isolated from emotions and relations in the family.
