Expert Solution

FOR WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM :-

Check if william is able to boot the computer in safe mode. Then he can follow the steps :

1.) Click on the power button which appears at the corner of the screen.

2.) Press and Hold the Shift Key and click on the restart option.

3.) Click on the troubleshoot option.

4.) Click on Advance Option.

5.) Click on the startup options.

6.) Click on restart.

7.) Select the safe mode by selecting the appropriate number of options onscreen.

Then William should go into his account settings and see if it has been locked or change his account from microsoft to local . Then remove the password from local Account.

NOTE:-

I am assuming that William has the correct password but he is still not able to login to his operating system

If he does not have the password he should try with the forget password option, answer the security question and change the password and then login. If the changed password doesn't works then go with the above stated method.
