The definition of the word 'collaboration' refers to the action of working with someone else in order to create something or produce something. Collaboration skills enable workers to interface productively with other colleagues. Successful collaboration requires a cooperative spiritand mutual respect.

eBuy and Skype.
eBuy collaborated with Skype in 2005, to increase its communication with its customers, and gain an added advandage over other online auction sites. however, the plan was failure, eBuy did not get the desired results. also customers preffered Mails over voice conversations, hence, there was no need for it. insted of the first place. after four years eBuy came back to the old position and left the collaboration between Skype.
Here the reason for the failure of collaboration is it is necessary to understand the psychology of the consumers of the concerned industry. even if both entity are going in profit. same way there many reasons that lead to collaboration into failure
