Discuss the argument that the dynamics in LEGO’s customer base have influenced their product innovation, and its associated elements.
It is true that the dynamics in the Lego's customer base has helped them innovate, improve and reach the most massie variety of the products offered making them stand as one of the best companies for the toys for children. Lego uses the strategy of System of Play which is both a manufacturing principle which allows the company to reuse the same molds for making infinite new sets and also the a play proposiiton which is the concepts about the more bricks you'll buy, the mroe you can build.
Understanding that there are millions of children playing and own Lego for having fun, the company has to understand the dynamics of the market and innovate as per the accordance. For very small children like 3-5 year old, the company has a different strategy and also different designs. Different bricks and models are offered for such age group of children to make them learn, build, grow and have fun at the same time. As children grow older from 5-10 year old, the company uses different strategy of marketing and production. More bricks are build and such designs are offered where children can create a whole new empire by buying more and more bricks. Parents are reached and tarketed in such a manner where they would understand how Legos would able to make their child learn, build and grow for having fun. It helps in physicial, psychological and cognitive abilities of a child on how they build and how they use their creativity and innovating for building a building, a car, anything out of Legos. Legos would allow the children to build a whole universe based on their idiosyncratic specifications and thus, understanding what their customers want from them helps them to innovate and reach them for sustainable growth.
