What are the three stages of every interview, and which is the most important? Which stage do you feel you excel at during the interview process?
Interview is about two parties ,you and the prospective employer, getting together to see if there is a match. As job supply is low and demand is high ,so it's important to use the chance of interview to stand out and make the best impression possible.
Three stages of every interview is given below :
STAGE 1
The Invitation :
To get into stage 1 make sure your resume matches the bullet points of the job description as closely as possible.Employers look for a match of skills and abilities. If you have too few qualifications on your resume, you will be considered under qualified ,on the other side, with too many qualifications you will be considered over qualified. Both are unwanted.Only close matches have the best chance of being in Stage 1.
STAGE 2
The Meeting :
This is the most important stage. The first impression is created at this stage. This is a personality test.Jobs are won or lost based on personality. In this stage one should try best to impress the interviewer by conveying the message as to what extent you are committed to the job, what makes you unique and to what extent you will make your boss look good.Quiet confidence will set an employer at ease whereas arrogance will cost you the job.So you have to be very careful of not overdoing anything. At this stage you have to excel at during the interview process.
STAGE 3:
The Follow Up :
This is the end result. If it is hoped that the employer will consider as to why you are the perfect candidate on their own, then you have already lost the position. You have to lead them there from the start. You have to convince them as to why you are the best candidate for the job. This stage is important to get the job and if situation demands you may even ask for another conversation before they take their final decision. It never hurts to ask and they may just say yes.
