Describe the morphology of the inflammation caused by the resistance of the organism?
Inflammations occurs as a complex biological response of the body to various harmful stimulus, for example to a pathogen , to an irritant, chemicals released from damaged cells. It is the protective response manifested by our body.
Classical signs of inflammation are : pain, heat, swelling, redness and loss of function.
Inflammation can be classified as acute and chronic based on their duration.
Acute inflammation shows different morphological patterns, which are as follows:
1) serous inflammation
2) fibrinous inflammation
3) suppurative inflammation
4) ulcerative inflammation
The inflammation caused by resistance of organism is suppurative inflammation.
It is characterized by presence of lots of pus. Pus contains polymorphonuclear lymphocytes and dead tissue, edema fluid and micro organism.
Sometimes localized collection of purulent material may lead to formation of abcess. And it may be walled of by fibrocollagenous tissue.
