The Person-Job Fit theory states that, how a person can adapt to an organisation . It will measure by their Person-organisation fit, also referred as the P-O Fit. The major measure calculate here is the workspace efficiency. The workspace efficiency means that the rate at which the workers are capable to complete the task. For example, the person or individual working more efficiently than in team having high P-O Fit. The low job satisfaction and the high turn over can avoid by matching right personality with the right job.
The Person-Environment Fit is referred as the degree at which the person and environmental characteristics will match. The individual's biological needs, psychological needs, abilities,goals, personalities may include in person characteristics. And the environmental characteristics includes the characteristics of other individuals, cultural values, demands of a job or role,etc. In industrial and organisational psychology and related fields the Person- Environment Fit has maintained a invitable position.

The Person-Environment Fit is more important than the person-job fit. The Person-Job fit is belongs to the subset of Person-Environment fit. The P-E Fit will leads to a positive outcomes includes performance, satisfaction,etc. The P-E Fit is the method for understanding organisational members and work environments. P-E Fit builts and maintain "good fit" between people and there jobs.
