Salaries have risen dramatically in NBA because of the dramatic rise in the strength and talent of the players association. In the history of NBA there has always been an increase in salaries except in the year 2002 and 2009. But there is a biggest jump in the salary of the NBA players in the year 2015. The increase in salary went from $70 million to $94.1 million. The increase is salary was basically due to the TV deal signed in 2014 by NBA. Due to this reason there are maximum contracts signed by the team who fit and talented players. In comparison to the other teams like NFL and MLB, the average salary per player of NBA is at least $20 million, where as for MLB it is $4.52 million and NFL is $5.75 million.
Since there will be no more TV deals in the next few years, the salary is not likely to get up again. The players of NBA are losing loyalty and are not committed to their team any more because the mid tier players are getting g maximum contracts.
