Overview about overall popular cnception of nennderthals :-
The general popular conception of Neaderthals is that they were the less-intelligent, lumbering cousins of ancient modern man who died off because they just weren’t as well-equipped or smart as their cousins; “For decades after the initial discovery of their bones…Homo neanderthalensis was viewed as a hairy brute who stumbled around Ice Age Eurasia on bent knees, eventually to be replaced by elegant, upright Cro-Magnon, the true ancestor of modern Europeans”
ARCHEOLOGICAL EVIDENCE :- these evidence shown that Neanderthals lived in a harsh, changing environment, and survived and reproduced for over 250,000 years despite the hardships they likely faced.
ANATOMICAL EVIDENCE :-The anatomy of Neanderthal is nearly identical to that of modern humans, including the hyoid bone which contributes to the vocal tract and cannot be distinguished from that of its modern human counterpart .
FINAL CONCLUSION :-after seeing archeological and anatomical evidence we can conclude that yes, Neanderthal survived where others did not, persevering and struggling through climate changes and their own evolving culture and physiology, only to be maligned after their extinction by modern man’s own sense of superiority to any and all other beings despite their place on our family tree.
