Expert Solution

The STEEP model stands for Social, Technological, Economical, Environmental and Political Factors affecting the external influences of the organisations. If Apple and Samsung merge together, the STEEP influences would be:

1. Social: A social change could be seen coming around as people who were now able to use and afford Samsung could also now have a innovative influence of Apple into the phones. The employement level would increase to have more people working and also the social difference of total major groups of Samsung and Apple would merge together forming one big group.

2. Technological: People could sense big technological change comprising and affecting the same as two most famous operating system platforms IOS and Android would merge together. Either the dominate one would rule making IOS phones but with Samsung bodies or Apple bodies with Android phone system that would make how and change how the people are working and changing the way technology looks like.

3. Economical: A change in economical section would also be emcompassing as these two mobile industries would merge together. As we know, Samsung makes phone for every segment of the market ie for every income section. On the other hand, Apple only targets the high income or middle income people. Thus merging together would help in solving and targeting the whole market and demand would be effectively influenced because of this change.

4. Environmental: The environmental influences would also be affected by this merger. Become of the same merger instead of operating two big offices of Samsung or Apple each, one big office would be opened and be operational, making the people to come together and work. This would reduce the pollution level and electricity level consumed for better working.

5. Political: The political influence would also be effectived by this merger done between the Apple and the Samsung company. As these two companies would come together, many laws and other policies have to be followed to make sure the companies are working right. Many policies and rules of mergers and acquisitions would have to be taken care of under the company's act to make sure the right influence and change is followed.
