Seizure is a sudden,uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain,seizure can change in behaviour,movement and level of consciousness, so seizure are the changes in the brain's activity and these changes in brain can cause dramatic,noticeable symptoms or in other cases no symptoms at all,, the symptoms of seizure (several) include violent shaking and a loss of control, however mild type of seizure can also be a sign of a significant medical problem,because some seizure can lead to injury or be a sign of an underlying medical conditionwhich needs medical assistantance,,, TYPES ;; - The international League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) introduced the updated classification in 2017 that better describe the many different types of seizure and these are (a) FOCAL ONSET SEIZURES and (b) GENERALIZED ONSET SEIZURES (a) Focal Onset Seizures ;;- it is used to be referred to as partial onset seizures and it occure in only one area of the brain,. (b) Generalized Onset Seizures ;;- it starts in both sides of the brain simultaneously and it can be are " tonic-clonic,absence and atonic".    *TONIC -- CLONIC::;; these are also known as grand mal seizures,where Tonic refers to muscle stiffing , and Clonic refers to the jerky arm and leg movements during the convulsions,, in this tonic and clonic seizures patients may loose consciousness for a few minute... *Absence::;:: Also called petit mal seizures , this condition may last for only a few seconds,,patients may blink repeatedly or stare into space . *Atonic :::::::;; This seizures also known as drop attack ,head may nod or entire body may fall to the ground, UNKNOWN ONSET SEIZURES ;;;;;; sometimes no one sees the beginning of a seizures ,for example, someone may wake up in the middle of the night and observe their partner having a seizures this condition known as UNKNOWN ONSET SEIZURES ,   

SYMPTOMS :::::;;; - The symptoms of seizures may last from few seconds to 15 minutes ,, sometimes ,symptoms occur before the seizure takes place , these symptoms include :: * a sudden feeling of fear or anxiousness * a feeling of being sick to your stomach * dizziness * a change in vision * a jerky movement of the arms and legs that may cause to drop the things * an out of body sensation * a headache Symptoms that indicate a seizure is in progress includes ;;;;;;;; * losing consciousness ,followed by confusion * having uncontrolled muscle spasms * drooling or frothing at the mouth * falling * having a strange taste in your mouth * biting your tongue * having sudden,rapid eye movements * making unusual noise,such as grunting * losing control of bladder or bowel function * having sudden mood changes   

CAUSE of Seizures ;;;;;: --Anythings that affects the body ,can also affect the brain activity and may lead to seizures ,some examples include ;;:::-- * alcohol withdrawal * a brain infection, such as MENINGITIS or any brain injury during childbirth or a brain defect present at birth * choking ,* drug abuse ,* epilepsy ,* fever ,* stroke, ,* brain tumor ,, this condition of seizures can be inherited in family,, EEG ( electroencephalogram ) is used to diagnose the condition of seizure. ,but sometimes imaging scans such as CT scan or MRI scan also helps the doctors . Treatment of seizures depends on the cause ;;; MEDICATION, SURGERY and KETOGENIC DIET , is done to treat the seizures and with regular treatment symptoms can be treated.
