What is the relationship between electric field and electric potential?

How do we create a potential difference?

I'm trying to understand the concept, this is not a homework question. Please answer as simple as possible.

Expert Solution

page 1page2- if we charge two plates with opposite charges then there will be potential difference and electric field.

If we have electric field then towards the arrow there will be lower potential and vice versa, as shown in the diagram
