Explain the cultural differences in styles of persuasion with at least one

example.

Individuals styles of persuasion depends on the cultural background. Persuasive style refers to the style in which one chooses to argue and it is greatly determined by ones cultural association. There are three different styles of persuasion,

(a). Quasilogical Style: In this style facts, statistics and testimony from a credible source is used to prove an argument. It is based on logical reasoning over emotional argument. This kind of style is seen in western culture.

(b). Presentational style: In this style emotional argument is placed above facts, statistics and logic. Here the presenter influnces the listener to think in his terms. Presenter influences over the listeners thinking.Advertisement or a speech of a motivational speaker.

(c). Analogical style: In this style concept is made to understand according to the listeners perception.   The message is conveyed through a story or an analogy. There might be individual diferences in perceiving the concept on basis the cultural differences.
