Expert Solution

Demographics is the collection and analysis of broad characteristics about group of people and population.

Most common demographic examples are: Age, gender, race, marital status, occupation, annual income, education level.

Demographic data is useful for business to understand tha market and its consumer and plan accordingly.

A company that has adjusted its products or services according to demographic changes in the country is mac Donald. Usually mac Donald provide beef meat in their products but as indians worship cows and do not eat beef, they adjusted its products and use chicken and goat meat.

Also the started selling many veg products, as many Indians are vegetarian .

According to me these changes made them stand and grow in the indian narket. If they were rigid with their products, chances were very high to get the business close very soon. So these changes were necessary and very appropriate.
