It is important from the viewpoint of sustainability. A progressive parental leave policy impact on the goal of sustainability via the triple bottom line is as follow:
People - In this, the organization must focus on the rights of the employees and their needs. This will help the company to take care of the labor and employees standards. Progressive parental leave will help the employee to focus on the well being of their child. This will impact the sustainability goal no. 3 i.e. Good health and well being. progressively parental leave will help us to achieve the sustainable goals effectively.
Profit - In this context, parental leave will create a positive environment in the organization thus enhancing the employee retention of the company. This will also reduce the cost of recruitment expenses. This will also help the company to to reduce their costs on upgrading skills and training of the employees as the employee turnover rate will be low due to the positive environment by meeting the needs of the employees.
