Expert Solution

Answer-

According to the given question-

tea strainer is defined as a strainer which is placed on a pot or on tea cup to prevent the passage of tea leaves and allow passage of water.

Tea stainer are Selectively permeable because they allow passage of molecules ot ions and also inhibit the passage of other substance which are larger than their size. So Tea stainer filter as well as allow molecular transport so they are called selective permeable.

Isotonic permeability means movement of molecule s kept in same concentration of solution and separated by a membrane which is permeable for the solute.

Active transport require energy such as ATP for the transport of molecules across the membrane and with the help of carrier proteins.

Phagocytosis- is the ingestion process by some cells such as macrophages or by the organism ingest the substance inside it.

so the correct answer for the question a tea strainer permitting the passage of tea solution, but blocking the passage of tea leaves is (B) selective permeability

In Thailand, tea leaves are cultivated by a very large number of small farms that all produce beans of similar quality and taste at similar costs. There is tons of land and the equipment required is affordable enough to allow new farming businesses to start up under current market conditions. However, with better production techniques, especially alternatives to polluting fertilisers and deforestation, are needed in this industry. Using the theory and models of industry structure, examine this industry. Should government...

A quality characteristic of interest for a tea-bag-filling process is the weight of the tea in the individual bags. The label weight on the package indicates that the mean amount is 5.465.46 grams of tea in a bag. Problems arise if the bags are underfilled or if the mean amount of tea in a bag exceeds the label weight. The accompanying data are the weights, in grams, of a sample of 5050 tea bags produced in one hour by a...
