Directions

Building from weekly work tasks in weeks 2 & 3, you will create a formal Annotated Bibliography document to submit here. The goal is to gather and critically evaluate a pool of potential resources to use in your Persuasive Essay.

That essay will require you to use at least 3 sources in the final draft. Here, you will be gathering twice that many to evaluate, in order to pick the best ones to include in the paper itself later on.

This Annotated Bibliography will include

1. at least 6 sources, total
2. of these sources, at least 4 must be academic, scholarly sources.
3. the other 2 are up to you, but might include primary sources from your workplace (including personal interviews you conduct with a coworker or manager), online videos, or non-academic web content relevant to your persuasive essay topic
4. APA citation formatting for the sources. Sources should be listed in alphabetical order, by the first word of the citation entry.
5. Each source citation will be immediately followed by a paragraph that briefly summarizes the source, and critically evaluates it for your persuasive essay needs. Apply the appropriate CRAAP test standards, from the textbook, for each critical evaluation paragraph. (Not all the CRAAP components will be necessary for each source–pick the ones that are most relevant to reaching your conclusion about whether it’s a reliable, useful source or not each time.)
6. APA document formatting, including a separate title page. This project will not include an essay or an abstract, however. Just the title page and the References page
