Electricity Market Oversight Panel (EMOP) is established by the Energy Commission, and it is mandated by regulation 16 of the Electricity Regulation 2008 (L.I. 1937) to supervise the operation and administration of the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) and to carry out the functions independent of transmission Utility. The EMOP also advises the Energy Commission on the operation and efficient administration of the WEM.
