which are gametophytes and which are sporophytes?
Ans. Gametophyte is the gamete-producing & the haploid phase that produces the zygote, from which the sporophytes are formed. They are dominat in bryophytes. E.g. mosses.
Sporophytes are the asexual & diploid phase which produce spores from which the gametophytes arise. They are domin ant in vascular plants. E.g. ferns.
