What is Q10 and why is this used from biochemistry of a cellular process to a whole animal metabolism?
Coenzyme Q10 is the part of electron transport molecule in the mitochondria and it it is necessary for the production of energy. Coenzyme Q10 is an essential electron and proton carrier in the mitochondrial respiratory chain , transferring electrons from complex 1 and compex 2 and contributing to ATP biosynthesis. Another name for Q10 is ubiquinone which found in every cells of the body.its role is to accept and transferring elestrons in the mitochondria also makes perfectly suited to act as a antioxidant , particularly in the mitochondrial environment , where many energy biochemical reactions occurs .
