1. What is the composition of the Benedict reagent?

10% anhydrous sodium carbonate, 17.3% sodium citrate and 1.73% copper(II) sulphate pentahydrate.

For 100 ml, dissolve 10 g of anhydrous sodium carbonate, 17.3 g of sodium citrate and 1.73 g of copper(II) sulphate pentahydrate and make up to 100 ml using distilled water.
