treachery smoking or using of pipes for smoking tobacco has equal harmful effects on the individual
The cigars and pipes used pose a similar type of health threat like a normal cigarette. If a filter is fitted in the pipe it will reduce the exposure of chemicals however the risk for cancer is same. There are more than 50 known carcinogenic compounds that are being inhaled while smoking. They can induce an oral, esophageal or lung cancer. Other associated effects include COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), bronchitis, stroke and even heart diseases at a later stage of life
Secondary smoking or passive smoking involves both the mainstream smoke where the exhaled smoke is inhaled or the sidestream smoke where the smoke from the lit cigar is inhaled.
This is also associated with health risks like cancer, COPD etc. additionally in pregnant women, it can result in miscarriage, still birth etc.
In children, it can induce pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infection, adenoids etc. It can also lead to the development of asthma
