7,500 items in inventory, 750 A items, 2,625 B items, 4,125 C items.

Policy is to count A items every month (20 working days), B items every quarter (60 days), and C items every six months (120 days)

How much the total items to be counted per day

Solutions

Expert Solution

Given :

Total inventory = 7,500 items

A items = 750

B items = 2,625

C items = 4,125

To calculate item A per day,

Quantity = 750

Cycle counting policy = Each month = 20 days

Therefore, 750/20 = 37.5 days = 38 per day

To calculate item B per day,

Quantity = 2,625

Cycle counting policy = Each quarter = 60 days

Therefore, 2,625/60 = 43.75 = 44 per day

To calculate item C per day,

Quantity = 4,125

Cycle counting policy = Every 6 months = 120 days

Therefore, 4,125/120 = 34.37 = 34 per day

To calculate total items A, B, C to be counted per day are :

38 + 44 + 34 = 116 per day

The total items to be counted per day are 116.
