Enzymes are biological molecules made up of proteins (except for some RNA enzymes). They act as catalyst in biological reaction, by enhancing or speeding up the rate of the reaction, and themselves remaining unchanged at the end of the reaction. They are produced by living organisms only and enhance the rate of the reaction by reducing the activation energy required by the substrate molecules to come together and convert to the product. In absence of enzyme, the activation energy is fairly high and is difficult for the substrate molecules to break their bonds to form the product by overcoming the activation energy.
Hence all the given options are correct. Hence the correct answer is D.
