The patient was discharged home, where his daughter now cares for him. The patient does not bear weight on the right lower extremity but can perform supervised pivot transfers with contact guard assistance in and out of bed. The physician orders the agency to provide physical therapy for gait training and exercise three times per week for five weeks. What codes are assigned
If the physician determines that the fracture is due to trauma, then only a codes from 800-829, Fractures, would be assigned. A code from category 733.00, Osteoporosis, may also be assigned.
