What is happening inside of the leg muscle cells of a runner during a 100-meter dash compared to a 2-mile race? What biochemical pathway(s) (aerobic respiration or anaerobic respiration) is/are being utilized in each race, and why? Explain why photosynthetic organisms are considered the ultimate source of food. What would happen to humans if all the plants died?

The human body is an amazing piece of “machinery,” and muscles are a big part of what drives it.
There are roughly 650 to 850 muscles. The exact number depends on whom you are asking, and how you count them since most experts have different opinions of what constitutes a distinct muscle. Some of our muscles primary functions include moving our body parts, keeping us upright, maintaining posture, generating heat, and operating certain bodily functions, such as digestion and blood pressure. But when it comes to running, muscles are especially useful. The main running muscles include the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, hip flexors and calf muscles then body also relies on secondary, or assistant, muscles to keep you going forward. These include the abdominal and the upper body muscles—all of which help provide stability throughout the gait cycle and improver overall speed and running economy.
Aerobic respiration better than anaerobic respiration for producing energy in muscles while running. A major advantage of aerobic respiration is the amount of energy it releases. Without oxygen, organisms can split glucose into just two molecules of pyruvate. .This releases enough energy to produce up to 38 ATP molecules. Thus, aerobic respiration releases much more energy than anaerobic respiration. When you are “running aerobically”, your muscles have enough oxygen to produce all the energy they need to perform. The waste products of aerobic respiration are carbon dioxide and water. These byproducts are easily expelled through the simple act of breathing by carbon dioxide rich and moist.
Photosynthesis is important to living organisms because it is the number one source of oxygen in the atmosphere. Without photosynthesis, the carbon cycle could not occur, oxygen-requiring life would not survive and plants would die. Green plants and trees use photosynthesis to make food from sunlight, carbon dioxide and water in the atmosphere: It is their primary source of energy. The importance of photosynthesis in humans life is the oxygen it produces. Without photosynthesis there would be little to no oxygen on the planet. If there was no photosynthesis, plants and animals likely could not exist. In addition the atmosphere would have very little oxygen because photosynthesis releases a large amount of oxygen into the air. .Otherwise, the Earth would be a pretty barren lifeless place without photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis provides most of the oxygen that humans and animals breathe. Chlorophyll uses sunlight energy to transform the carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and carbon-based compounds such as glucose, a sugar that helps plants grow.
