Cobalt alloys are corrosion resistant, wear resistant and also heat resistant. These properties of cobalt alloys makes it very useful and common in manufacturing industries which includes medical, automotive, military etc.

These alloys has a huge application where the oxidation of metals is a big problem.

High temperature environment needs these kind of alloys, for example jet aircraft turbines, turbocharger turbines. These alloys also exhibit good creep resistance and have great resistance to thermal fatigue.

Most of cobalt based alloys parts formed by investment casting process this is another reason for quite common in manufacturing industry.
