Expert Solution

‌Kinematics is the branch of physics and a subdivision of classical mechanics concerned with the geometrically possible motion of a body or system without consideration of the forces involved. In engineering, for instance, kinematic analysis may be used to find the range of movement for a given mechanism,

motion is a relative term which is defined with respect to some reference source. That source may be at rest or in motion. So we can say that one body is in motion with respect to some source while the same body is at rest with respect to some other source.

In relative motion in kinematics , we find the various parameters of motion such as displacement, velocity etc with respect to some reference source. Here these parameters are specifically termed as relative displacement, relative velocity etc.
