Q / The National Dairy Company produces two types of milk (type
A and type B), each type needs three operations to complete its
production (sterilization and packaging) required to design an
engineering problem and complete the formulation of the question
and the problem so that it includes all the required
information:
1- Determine the time of manufacturing the type A product for the
three manufacturing processes (sterilization, packing and
packaging) so that the manufacturing time for this product is not
less than 4 and not more than 13 minutes.
2- Determine the time of manufacturing the Type B product for the
three manufacturing processes (sterilization, packing and
packaging) so that the manufacturing time for this product is not
less than 3 and not more than 11 minutes.
3- Determine the single profit unit for product A and B, not less
than 7 and not more than 14 dinars.
4- Determine the production times for the three operations, not
less than 600 and not more than 2000 minutes.
5- Formulating a linear programming model that represents this
production problem.
6- Finding the number of panels produced from both products in
order to achieve the largest possible profit using the graph
method.
7- Assume that the production engineer has set the time of
production for the first process (sterilization) of Product B by 1
minute, what effect this decision has on the quantity of units
produced for both types and its effect on profit, and illustrate
this with numbers and drawing.
8- Compare the results obtained in paragraphs 6 and 7.
9- Writing a discussion of the results and recommendations for
achieving the largest profit and increasing the quantities of
products.
