Parapodia structures for breathing an extension of gills

Marine habitat

Mavement by parapodia-crawl or swim

Asexual reproduction by budding

Brain in prostomium position

Clitellum absent

Gills,respiration through skin

Present in soil

Peristalsis movement

sexual reproduction

Brain in peristomium position

Clitellum present

Malor structural difference in Plychaetes is in the presence of parapodia that helps in breathing which are fleshy appendages found in body axis as an otgrowth of body segment which acts as limbs helps in locomotion, protection and mainly helps in gas exchange. They are bilobed or unilobed. Dorsal lobe called notopodia and ventral one is neuropodia.Chaiten a bristle chitinus form helps fro support of parapodia. Cirri which are tennacle like projectionin in parapodia which has sensory function.
