What do you mean by Gestalt Psychology and briefly explain it.
This approach was a revolt against structuralism, founded in Germany by Wertheimer, Kohler and Kaffka.
• It focused on perceptual organisation and they also demonstrated the laws of perceptual organisation.
• Structuralist wanted to break down perception into elements but Gestalt stated that when we look at the world, our perceptual expy is more than the sum of the components of the perceptions i.e. we give meaning to perceptions.
