Hurry please!!

For the following allosteric regulators of CAC:

  • Predict whether the cell has abundant energy or needs energy
  • State which enzyme (s) are affected and why this enzyme
  • state whether the enzyme is activated or inhibited
    • high concentrations of NADH
    • High concentrations of CA2+
    • high concentrations of succinyl-CoA

Solutions

Expert Solution

CAC enzyme are citic acid cycle enzyme which get activated when cells required energy as this cycle produces NADH , FADH2,ATP. And when energy is not required then the intermediate of this cycle start anabolic synthesis of amino acids, glucose, heme or nucleotide.

Regulation of CAC are done by enzymes which are either allosteric enzyme or those enzyme which are involve in NADH, FADH2 or ATP production.

1) citrate synthase as this is the first enzyme of this metabolic pathways which always acts regulatory enzyme.

2)Isocitrate dehydrogenase, Alpha- keto glutarate dehydrogenase and malate dehydrogenase enzymes are involved in NADH production while succinate dehydrogenase involve in FADH2 production and succyl CoA synthatase releases ATP.

So all these enzyme cause regulatory enzyme and relate CAC enzyme and this get activated when energy required by cell and become inactivated when energy is not required.

Hope it's clear . thanks
