In America,Covid 19 pandemic has created a deep crisis and economic inequality.Women and sections of colour are witnessing the major burnt of this crisis.Various segments are struggling particularly of the workforce.Workers continue to work vulnerable to heavy risk for themselves as well as their families.Also they are having to work at low wages and also lack of sufficient or needed benefits.Unemploymment rate in this crisis have rise for women than men.About 80% of full time women workers have lost their jobs.This global pandemic have added fuel on fire to the racism.
Labour market and labour law system plays a vital role for women and community in color,who are facing burnts of mostly highlighted are 3cross cutting priorities:
1)women and all color sections are ensured of equal representation in all kind of planning and decision making regarding Covid19.
2) equality in terms of employment, payment and other benefits.
3)enable positive socio economic impact on female and other color sections of the economy in this covid 19 pandemic.Employers have high responsibility of essential workers during this crisis.they should ensure all kinds of benifit including monetary as well as nonmonetary benifits to the workers along with the safety measures.
Even when now the economy is going back to work,the ultimate risk of the pandemic is no less.Hence the obligations of the of the employers are much more when workers are going back to work.essential wokers are acting as pillars for the world when this pandemic is taking the earth in its gulp.so it is highly important that required precautions to be taken for the workers at first,as lives of workers as well as their families are equally important.moreover wages and other advantages must be provided and looked after effectively.
