The attitude of an employee typically reflects the moral of an organization or a company. In the areas of customer service and sales, its is generally the happy employees are extremely important because they always represent the company to the general public. Job satisfaction is considered to be critical for high productivity, higher quality and also the low employee turnover. Employers usually face the challenges of finding the ways to increase their employees job satisfaction so as their businesses could stay competitive. Below are four best strategical approaches in a basic business environment that could be used to improve employees' satisfaction and quality of work.

Giving the Employees more control

Employers should always find ways to give the employees more control over their present schedules, environment, and also work habits. For example, the employers could offer some alternative work schedules like flextime and telecommuting. Employees these days generally have demanding schedules outside of the work culture, and many workers appreciate an employer who considers the employee’s work-life balance. Because every individual’s obligation outside work is different, where customized schedules are the right way in order to improve their employee satisfaction.

Reward and Recognition

Mark Twain, a famous American writer once said, “I can live for 2 months with a good compliment.” Personal recognition is considered to be a powerful tool in building the morale and motivation within an organization. A pat on the back of an employee by the boss, a personal note from a supervisor could do wonders. Small and informal celebrations are most effective than a once-a-year formal event.

The fact is that most of the employers will want their employees to be happy and productive. After all, happy employees are the ones usually be as a good and productive employees, and they also tend to be happier employees who can contribute to a higher morale with a quality production as the end product. When the morale is high in a company then the turnover is low, and so as the business has a very greater chance of being successful by achieving their revenue targets. Some of the researches even indicates that they are at least 12 % more productive, the quality constraint is much higher, when employees are happy.

Encouraging Social Connections

Socialization is considered to be a key component of happiness. Generally, interacting with others gives the people a boost in mood, this is even true for the introverts. Employers should always encourage the company’s social relations. Considering an office arrangement which fosters communication and also arranging the workstations in a way so that the employees can see each other and talk to each other.

Employers could also encourage the office celebrations on the holidays and birthdays. These kind of celebrations typically do not need to be expensive. It could be even as simple as asking the employees to bring in a covered dish. They could encourage employees to eat lunch together, even when there is no reason to celebrate by providing a comfortable eating area.

Socialization is not always limited to the office hours. The employers could encourage out of office socialization like some volunteer programs. This could give the employees a change to develop relationships even outside of the office environment while promoting the business in a positive way. Community service is also considered to be a great way to build a positive reputation alongside acting as a happiness booster for employees.

Develop Employee’s Skills and Potential

Generally, training and education would motivate the people and also makes them more productive and creative. There are quite a few number of reasons where the training and development makes sense. Well-trained employees are usually more capable and also willing to take more control over their jobs. They always need lesser supervision, which gives a relief to the employers for other tasks. When the employees are more capable to answer customer’s questions then there builds a better customer loyalty. Employees who basically understand the business, would complain less, more satisfied, and are motivated.

All of these typically leads to a better employer-employee relationships with a better quality of work.
