Please discuss current COVID-19 testing platforms. what tests are currently available? how accurate are these methods? explain the emergency use authorization designation by the FDA, and why it is significant as it applies to Covid -19 testing

1)The testing platforms for COVID -19 are the ixlayer platform , this platform is used worldwide, to provide the different genetic and health testing .

2)The tests for COVID 19 are of two  types which is used to test the detection of the covid .

These two tests are the viral test and the another one is antibody test.

The antibody test , that  is organised if you have the past infection and detected after some time . In this test the antibodies that are produced in the patients are used to testing the covid after some time of infection .The viral antigen of the covid is present in the respiratory tract . And if the quantity of those antigens are sufficient in the sampling then it will bind to the specific antibodies that are fixed to the paper strips .

The DNA amplification test is also used to diagnosed the covid by using the Real time PCR and this is most used technique to detect the COVID 19 by using the detected viral RNA of the infected cell . The viral test is organised if you have the current infection and help to detect them .

Another testing for diagnosing t he same is like CRISPR-mediated detection or loop-mediated isothermal amplification .

3) The real time Polymerase chain reaction is highly accurate while the antibody test is not that much efficient . Even the antibody test is not used for diagnosis , it is used just to detect the infection in past . So , the acuraccy is just depend on the fact fact that how long back the person get infected . And even sometime this test is cariied out and the anitigen is not detected at that time or the amount is very less so the accuracy and efficency is very low as compare to real time PCR .

Real time PCR is not even 100 % accurate but because of the principle of amplification , its accuracy is very effecient and accurate for testing .

4) The Emergency Use Authorization (EUA)  designation by the FDA is an authorization that ensure the health condtions of the nation . As it allows the FDA to make the nation more stronger in each case and provide the public health's against Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear threats by maintaiining all the emergency facilities that should be needed in the emergency situation for any nation .

The Emergency Use Authorization is very significant as it applies to Covid 19 testing , as it ensure the quality of faciliyies that is used in this a huge pandemic , As EUA ensure the FDA by providing or arranging all the emergency needs and requirements of the nation like in Vitro Diagnostic Products ,Personal Protective Equipment and Related Devices , Ventilators and Other Medical Devices , Drug and Biological Products and make the nation more capable to fight with this pandemic .
