Peripheral vascular disease is a disorder which is caused by narrow blood vessels which affects the blood supply to the limbs and is a circulatory disorder. This disorder does not lead to blockage of blood vessels to the brain and the heart but it affects the other body part and the blood supply in the circulation. People with this disorder often complain of pain and fatigue usually after physical exercise and often complain the pain in the leg.This disorder is also an indication of fat deposits increasing in the blood vessel as well as the calcium deposits which blocks the blood supply and the circulation. Serious medical conditions sclerosis and formation of plaque in the blood vessels are also major risk and cat affect the blood circulation and circulatory system in a major way
The following are the modifiable factors with PVD:
1. Hyperglycemia
2. Smoking
3. Blood pressure
The following are the non-modifiable factors with PVD:
1. Age
2. Reduced HDL cholesterol
3. Sensory neuropathy and retinopathy
