Louisiana is an American state in the Gulf of Mexico. It ranks 45th in United States of America. The healthcare system consists of services provided by medical professionals to diagnose, treat, and prevent mental and physical illness and injury.

Louisiana does, not so well in health care. It provides a wide range of insurance policies. It has a high rate of preventable hospital admissions higher than the national average. It has a state healthcare budget of over 15 billion USD. Louisiana Department of Health is Louisiana's largest state agency with a budget of 15 billion.

Louisiana has a very good number of Private sector enterprises in Healthcare. they Provide better care compared to the public sector. Louisiana has one of of the largest Healthcare budget in America. But still very low Healthcare quality. Louisiana ranks 44 in public Healthcare access.Louisiana has very limited number of mental Healthcare services. It is facing very critical shortage of professional nurses. Although the state has a high Healthcare budget, private sector contributes highly to the Healthcare. Louisiana has a very low life expectancy rate.
