COVID-19was firstly detected in Wuhan china.WHO declared COVID-19 pandemic and advised all countries to take decisive actions to prevent and control the outbreak. World wide coronavirus cases as of today: total cases reported- 72,383,692,deaths-1,615,863,recovered-50,716,143,Currently infected patients-20,051,686.There is no effective vaccine to prevent COVID-19 and treatment options are still experiment.Patients are just managed with supportive care and antibiotic against secondary bacterial infection.

Covid 19 vaccine researches are going on in worldwide on a wartime basis. Countries like Britain, USA, China, Russia and India are on the top to develop a successful vaccine against this pandemic. Britain's Pfizer vaccine trial is on the final stage. Hopefully we can expect a successful covid 19 vaccine in the near future.

This virus is spread through respiratory droplets of an infected person,which may travel upto six feet from a person who is sneezing or coughing.This mode of transmission requires people to have a close contact with infectious person or touching a contaminated surface and then touching own face or mouth.

COVID -19 outbreak prevention and control endeavour has three stages.

1,First stage was natural occurence and spread of the epidemic.

2,Second stage was the blockade of the city and the advocacy of residents staying at home (quarantine) and maintaining social distancing.

3, Third stage ensured that all COVID-19 cases were admitted to hospital and close contact were under intensive medical observation.

Many countries took immediate action to fight against this pandemic by closing their international borders and air travels, temporarily closing all religious centers, closing all academic institutions and shifting to online teaching for all level of education, closing all government offices apart from vital service providers, and imposing partial to complete lockdown in cities based on the out break situation.

Public also have their role to fight against this pandemic by following the rules and instructions provided by the government and respective authorities. People should avoid public gatherings and try to avoid the use public transport. Try to stay at home, maintaining social distancing and follow personal safety practices such as wearing mask and sanitize hands frequently etc . The public also should engage in COVID 19 prevention and control activities,and to fight against rumors and false information about the disease. All staffs and volunteer should wear N 95 mask, and PPE kit for safety.
